Therefore, she not only disagrees with marrying for money, but also disagrees with trifling with marriage. She stresses the importance of ideal marriage, and bases ideal marriage on the love of men and women. In the film, the heroine Elisabeth is born in a landowner family, she is loved by Darcy who is born in a rich family. Despite the difference of family background and property, Darcy proposes marriage to Elisabeth, but she refuses. One of the reason is Elisabeths misunderstanding and prejudice to him, what is more, she hate his arrogance. Therefore, they can not have the same thoughts and feelings, not to mention ideal marriage.
