A weather print out will be presented and adverse/severe conditions briefed. NOTAMs are required to be briefed to the instructor for the airports/area or intended use. Students will brief the instructor on Flight Plan if applicable. Weight and Balance and performance calculations are made, and student briefs instructor. Any conditions deviating from SOP’s will be noted. GO or NO GO decision will be made by the student and confirmed with the instructor.;BRIEFINGS At the base of Crew Resource Management (CRM), is the proper adherence to procedures, checklists and briefings. Briefings are the basic way to let other crew member(s) know what the captain’s (or pilot flying (PF)) intentions are. An effective briefing is interesting and thorough. It addresses coordination, planning, and problems. Although briefings are primarily a captain’s responsibility, other crewmembers may add significantly to planning and should be encouraged to do so. Generally speaking, a briefing should contain all the particulars to the part of the flight it is given for, no more, no less. Thus the taxi-briefing should not include the weather unless for example high winds or slippery taxiways due to ice form dangerous factors during taxiing. Airlines and other companies who use Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) can use terms such as: “Take off briefing Standard.” If the SOP calls for a normal take off with 0o flaps
