Abstract: The authors investigated the current state of athletes in representative cities and provinces in China par-
ticipating in injuring insurance, and revealed the following findings: Only 32.2% of athletes in China had partici-
pated in the insurance; the proportion of athletes who had participated in the insurance was relatively large in
economy developed areas and part of big provinces of sport; more front line athletes (76.1%) had participated in the
