H ebei U n iv ersity of Engin eering, H andan 056038, C h ina) Abs tract: In order to redu ce the uncerta inty of the prop er proportion am ong lmi e, fly ash and so il in the m ix ture design, and overcom e the diff iculties in qu ality contro l in the com p lex geo log ical cond ition for road eng ineer ing, the m ix ture design and the filling m ethod of road base in low- ly ing area w ith m u ch w ater in north Ch ina w ere in- troduced. Then, the com pressing test w as condu cted and the prop er proportion w as g iven. F inally, som e m eas- ures to contro ll the qu a lity of fillw ere proposed.
