The results of the bridge load testing show that with the effect of symmetri- cal loads the inside stress of the mid-span section is larger than that of the outside in the curved girder bridges. The result of the shear-lag effect analysis, using the finite element models with the different curvature curved gird- er, showed that the shear-lag coefficient was distributed asymmetrically with the characteristics of the outside is smaller and the inside is large in the mid-span section, and the asymmetric distribution became apparent with the decrease of curvature radius.
