Ⅰ method guidance

EC = BC - BE = BC - AD = 14cm - 9cm = 5cm.
In the delta DEC:
DE + EC = 7cm + 5cm = 12 cm 13cm,
∴ delta DEC cannot draw, so trapezoid ABCD couldnt draw.
In order to solve this problem, we can assume the existence of the drawing and then analyze the sketch to determine the existence of the graph.
