How to deal with internal pay equity
Internal equity is an important goal of salary management. Enterprises in the salary management can handle all employees fairly, greatly affecting employee satisfaction and loyalty, and thus affect the enthusiasm of the staff work, initiative, and even the fate of employees. From the enterprise service value chain perspective, if the salary does not reflect the internal equity, employee satisfaction will be reduced, will inevitably affect the decisions provided by the staff to the customer, customer satisfaction, service value, and customer loyalty. Therefore, in salary management, internal equity is a problem that managers must pay close attention to.
Internal equity characteristics of compensation
Internal equity of compensation refers to the relative value recognition of employees in their own work. According to Adamss theory of fairness, employees compare their own pay and income with those of other employees in the enterprise, and then determine whether their remuneration is internally fair. When employees find that their income - pay ratio is the same as income pay ratio of other employees, he will get an internal sense of fairness in compensation, and on the contrary, it will create an unfair feeling inside. From this we can find several characteristics of the internal equity of compensation:
