1.1 Background of the study
In the age of globalization and information,the significance of English reading isbeing obvious ost of the information is translated into English. Among the fourbasic skills, reading is the essential skill for the second or foreign language leaner. ore reading as the input process can promote the skill of listening, it also can help theoutput process of speaking and e ake the productive output possible. At the same time as a global language English is alsoa pulsory course in the senior high schools in China, especially for the students ination, for the English reading prehensionaccounts for most of the total score in the English test. Though lots of achievements havebeen made in English reading teaching, it is also not so optimistic in the current situationof English reading. During a period of time, the traditional reading model is used inEnglish reading teaching, such as the top doodel and the bottom up model.Difficulties are attributed to reading has been regarded as a focus on the meaning of themar structure, ethod is alent of the language teachers and linguists.

1.2 Significance of the present study
In order to keep the pace of the development of economy and technology ,more andmore information has been translated into English in this dynamic age, ation, ore English reading hasbecame one of the learning skills to keep pace ore,English reading is one of the significant criterion to assess the students English learningability, thus enhance the ability of reading can ensure the success of the students indifferent tests, especially in English exam. Hoethods usedin the reading teaching mainly focus on the language point atictheory to demonstrate ain idea and detail organizationof the text.
