A new Chinese record，Anthracoidea heterospora(B．Lindeb．)Kukkonen(1963)on Carex
ensifo， Turcz．ex Ledeb．(Cyperaceae，subgen．Eucarex，section Phacocystis)，was collected from
Xinjiang UygurAutonomous Region ofChina in 1975．So far,five species ofAnthracoidea have been
recognized on section Phacocystis．They are Anthracoidea liroi(Lehtola)Nannf．＆B．Lindeb．(1 965)，
A．heterospora，A．echinospora(Lehtola)Kukkonen(1963)，A．variabilis(S．Ito)Kakish．(1982)andA．
bigelowii Nannf．B．Lindeb(1965)．A．heterospora differs from A．1iroi，A．variabilis，and A．
bigelowii mainly by its small ustilospores，and from A．echinospora by fmely and densely verruculose
ustilospores．

semi—agglutinated．Ustilospores in plane view subglobose，ovoid，ellipsoidal or slightly irregular，
