Task 2 The following are what Michael Button usually does for quality inspection. Arrange them in the order of time and explain. Inspection and testing are performed before, during, and after manufacturing to ensure that the quality of the product is able to meet the design standards. Whereas inspection is the activity of examining the product or its components to determine if they meet the design standards, testing is a procedure in which the item is observed during operation in order to determine whether it functions properly for a reasonable period of time. One of the most important methods to inspect the manufacturing process is statistical quality control. In statistical quality control, quality of a product is inferred from a sample taken from the population of the items. The sample of items is generated randomly from the population. Each item in the sample is inspected or tested for certain attributes and quality characteristics. The objective of statistical quality control is to determine when the process has gone out of control, so that corrective action can be taken. The two principal techniques in statistical quality control are acceptance sampling and control charts. In acceptance sampling, a sample is taken from a batch of parts or products. Whether the batch will be accepted or rejected depends on the number of parts or products that pass the inspection or testing. A control chart is a simple graphical technique used to monitor and control a single characteristic of a manufacturing process. The objective is to estimate the principal parameter that describes the variability of this characteristic and then to use a test of hypothesis to determine if the process is in control. To improve product quality and inspecting efficiency, sensor technology has been developed. A sensor is a device that measures a physical quantity and changes it into a signal which can be read by an inspector or by an ins
