unicode的含义(The meaning of Unicode)

unicode的含义(The meaning of Unicode) Unicode Unicode (Unicode, Wan Guoma, Unicode) is a character encoding that is used on a computer. It sets a unified and unique binary encoding for each character in each language to meet the requirements of cross language and cross platform text conversion and processing. 1990 began R D, officially announced in 1994. Unicode has gained popularity in the more than 10 years since it was released, thanks to its enhanced computing power. The latest version of Unicode in June 2006 is Unicode 4.1.0, launched in March 31, 2005. In addition, 5 Beta was introduced in December 12, 2005 for evaluation by members. Encoding and implementation of Unicode Generally speaking, Unicode coding system can be divided into two levels: encoding and implementation. 1. encoding Universal character encoding Unicode and ISO 10646 sets (UCS) (Universal Character, Set, UCS) the corresponding concept, present for practical version of Unicode corresponding to UCS-2, use 16 bit encoding space. That is, each character takes 2 bytes. In this way, a maximum of 65536 (2 of the 16 squares) characters can theoretically be represented. Basically meet the use of various languages. In fact, the current version of Unicode has not yet been fully filled with the 16 bit encoding, leaving a lot of space for special use or future expansion. The 16 bit Unicode characters constitute the Basic Multilingual plane (Basic Multilingual Plane, referred to as BMP). The latest (but not widely used) version of Unicode defines 16 auxiliary planes, each of which requires at least 21 bits of coding space, slightly less than 3 bytes. But in fact, the auxiliary flat characters still occupy 4 bytes of coding space, consistent with the UCS-4. The future version will expand to ISO 10646-1 implementation level 3, that covers all characters of UCS-4. UCS-4 is a larger, yet fully populated 31 bit character set, plus 0 in the first place, taking 32 bits, or 4 bytes. Theoretically, it can represent a
