Based on thermody- nami s, the model of pneumati engine inner pro ess w as established, w hi h obtained the influ- en e of inlet valve and outlet valves open timing on pneumati engines dynami and e onomi performan es separately. The results show that the dynami and e onomi performan es are im- proved w hen the inlet valve w as opened earlier appropriately and the open timing of outlet valve is onstant. And they ar e improved also w hen the outlet valve w as opened earlier appropriately and the open timing of inlet valve is onstant. The orr e tness of this model is validated by experi- ments. Finally, by taking pow er and gas loss rate as optimization obje tive, and utilizing the a- bove established model, dimension-redu tion algorithm is adopted for optimization al ulation.
