Methods based on the isotope whole body bone scan, the relationship between serum PSA levels and bone metastasis in 69 cases of prostate cancer with bone metastasis and 33 cases without bone metastasis was analyzed retrospectively. Results PSA20 g/L bone metastasis rate is extremely low; PSA more than 20 g/L with bone metastasis; PSA of more than 40 g/L have great possibility of bone metastasis. Conclusion for the new diagnosis of untreated prostate cancer patients, PSA20 g/L regularly PSA PSA; more than 20 g/L should be performed bone scan diagnosis; PSA more than 60 g/L can be diagnosed as bone metastasis. [Abstract] Objective To probe into the correlation between serum PSA and bone metastasis in prostatic can cer.Methods serum PSA in102cases of - prostatic cancer was retrospectively reviewed as to its correlation with bone metastasis, The radionuclide bone scan being taken as the golden standard for bone metastasis.Results The results revealed that when PSA was less than20 g/L, The possibility of existing bone metastasis was extremely low but follow up studies were required.When it was above20 g/L, bone metastasis should be considered and a bone scan was NEC essary.Conclusion The possibility of bone - metastasis became high when the PSA level was more than40 g/L, If PAS was more than60 g/L, a clincal diagnosis of bone metastasis Might be made.
