A novel simplified space-vector modulation method is proposed in this paper. It is different from the conventional space-vector, the regions is divided through the three phase phase-voltage cross zero of the input voltages. Based on analyzing the uniform duty ratio formulas are given under the rectifying and inverting operation. The space-vector modulation is utilized by the uniform duty ratio formulas. The proposed method has the advantages of conventional space-vector modulation method with fast dynamic response. In addition, it is simple to be implemented. With the proposed method, the rectifier can either work under rectifying operation or under inverting operation and the input power factor can be corrected to about unity.
