For the past few years, along with the change of life-style and productionmode, and the import of new building materials and technology, the “Shingle House” Appears diversified evolution trend. What a kind of evolution patterns are what we advocate “regeneration”? Taking the replace of “Shingle” as an example, this paper tries to use a problematic way to find the regeneration way of “Shingle House” in view of the reality of vernacular architecture.
