China is the third largest banana production country in the world. Industry standardization not only affects the yield and quality of banana, but also has important role in promoting the development of other tropical economic crops production standardization and industrialization. The paper described the formulation, revision, implementation status, and the research on banana standard system in China. The main problems were as follows: banana standard structure was unreasonable, standard was aging, the correction of standard and production was not close. Then countermeasures and suggestions including strengthening the banana standard implementation, timely revision of standard, combined with the banana industry were presented.
