Methods A total of 24 patients with tetanus from 2004 to 2013 were collected, to analyze the clinical characteristics and summarize the experience in the treatment of tetanus infection. Results Among all 24 patients, Ablett were 9 cases, and were 7 and 8 cases respectively. The average incubation period was 11 days. The average hospitalization time was 26 days, and the survival rate was 100. Conclusion Early effective wound treatment, injection of TAT, tracheotomy and composure are the effective measures to treat tetanus, and the early tracheotomy, calming and muscle relaxation in severe tetanus patients.
