A fast, sensitive and convenient information system to provide technical support for guaranteeing public health of the Youth Olympic Games ( YOG) in Nanjing and other mega-events was established. The system consists of seven parts: workplace health monitoring, infectious disease monitoring, assessment decision analysis, food safety monitoring, food safety risk management, system management and security work standard. The system guaranteed the real-time data transmission, statistical analysis and information feedback between all the monitoring points. It enhanced the joint prevention and control efficiencies in Nanjing and its neighbor cities, and streamlined the supervision by policy makers and experts at various monitoring points.
