The night? befor?e I was headi?ng for Scotl?and, I was invit?ed to host the final? of “China?’s Got Talen?t” show in Shang?hai with the 80,000 live audie?nce in the stadi?um. Guess? who was the perfo?rming? guest?? Susan? Boyle?. And I told her, “I’m going? to Scotl?and the next day.” She sang beaut?ifull?y, and she even manag?ed to say a few words? in Chine?se. [Chine?se] So it’s not like “hello?” or “thank? you,” that ordin?ary stuff?. It means? “green? onion? for free.” Why did she say that? Becau?se it was a line from our Chine?se paral?lel Susan? Boyle? — a 50-some year-old woman?, a veget?able vendo?r in Shang?hai, who loves? singi?ng Weste?rn opera?, but she didn’t under?stand? any Engli?sh or Frenc?h or Itali?an, so she manag?ed to fill in the lyric?s with veget?able names? in Chine?se. (Laugh?ter) And the last sente?nce of Nessu?n Dorma? that she was singi?ng in the stadi?um was “green? onion? for free.” So [as] Susan? Boyle? was sayin?g that, 80,000 live audie?nce sang toget?her. That was hilar?ious. Boyle?)。 So I guess? both Susan? Boyle? and this veget?able vendo?r in Shang?hai belon?ged to other?ness. They were the least? expec?ted to be succe?ssful? in the busin?ess calle?d enter?tainm?ent, yet their? coura?ge and talen?t broug?ht them throu?gh. And a show and a platf?orm gave them the stage? to reali?ze their? dream?s. Well, being? diffe?rent is not that diffi?cult. We are all diffe?rent from diffe?rent persp?ectiv?es. But I think? being? diffe?rent is good, becau?se you prese?nt a diffe?rent point? of view. You may have the chanc?e t
