Learn how to read the new words Lead-in T: Do you like animals? Ss: Yes! T: So do I. Can you name some animals? Ss: Dog,cat,tiger,fish,lion,elephant... T: You’re all very clever. In this class,let’s go to the zoo to see more animals,OK? Ss:Yeah! T: Now, please look at the powerpoint, let’s learn the new words first. 【设计意图】通过师生自由交际进行复习和热身，同时让学生回忆以前学过的表示动物名称的单词。学生通过小学英语的学习，已经对动物的词汇有所掌握和了解。通过师生谈论动物名称可以使学生对本课产生兴趣，并且有一种成就感和熟悉感。同时实现旧知识和新知识的完美结合。 1. Read the new words in Unit 5 by themselves according to their pronunciations and mark the words difficult to read. Read the marked words to your partner. 2. Ask the Ss to listen to the tape. Then ask them to follow and correct pronunciation. 3. Let the Ss work in groups to help each other to correct the pronunciation. 4. Ask the groups to show their pronunciation to the class.
