Today, I will share with you my teaching and learning plan for The written word in Reading Appreciating Literature. I have divided my plan into nine parts, and they are as follows: 1. Teaching procedures 8. Teaching Time Design (Duration: 45 minutes) 9. Blackboard Design) (Firstly, let’s come to the Background Information about Ss. As I have made a survey of information about Ss in Grade 2, I got the result as follow :) 1. Background Information about Ss a. Ss have known something about classic literature through Internet or other ways. b. Ss don’t often use English to express themselves and communicate with others. c. Some Ss are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes. (Secondly, I analyze the teaching material of my lesson.) 2. The Analysis of the Teaching Material Position: Reading (1) in Unit 1 of Module 8 Importance: show basic information of classic literature; introduce and explain ways to read a pervasive essay Acquirements: Have Ss do some listening, speaking and exercises to understand difficult sentences and comprehend the passage better. (Thirdly, I conclude my teaching objectives in this lesson from three aspects) 3. Teaching Objectives 3.1 Knowledge Aims a. Have Ss learn and master the words and expressions in the text. b. Have Ss acquire knowledge about classic literature. 3.2 Ability Aims a. Improve students’ reading ability (skimming and detailed reading). b.
