It will possess great theoretical and practical significance for company to reduce production costs, ensure production quality, improve production efficiency and increase the competitiveness. Therefore, process planning has played the most critical role in production procedure.The present work present a new viewpoint, aimed at solving the serious shortage of traditional manual technique in printing manufactures. Printing process route is arranged by combining computer aided process planning (CAPP) and printing process decision.According to the production process of printing technology and process needs of products in preparation, it inferences the process operations, and establishes printing process demand model and printing process technique model of hierarchical sub-module. Furthermore, it builds the mathematical model of the printing process planning and proposes a printing process search method for solving method based on Polychromatic Set Theory. The process path is decisively referenced using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and a versatile printing process machining path is preferably chosen on the basis of univariate constraints of costs.Finally, an example is employed to verify the model and algorithms. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is applied to comprehensively evaluate the costs of several printing process path and the the univariate constraints to the costs, successfully optimize a printing process path according to the principle of low cost and systematically achieve a planning research for printing process path based on polychromatic set theory.Key words: Processing requ
