Instudytwo,weassessedmultipledimensionsofempathyin365schizophrenicpatientsand529healthysubjectswithaself-ratinginstrument,theInterpersonalReactivityIndex-C(IRI-C),and160schizophrenicpatientsand148healthysubjectswereretestedbyIRI-C.ResultsInstudyone,(1)IRI-C:Thetotalscores(46.85±10.03),andthesubscoresinperspectivetaking(9.50±4.23),Fantasy(12.50±4.25)andempathicconcern(15.89±4.16)weresignificantlylowerthanthehealthycontrols[(51.49±9.67),(12.22±3.86),(15.54±3.80),(17.29±3.37);P0.01-0.05)]respectively,butmoreself-relatedaversivefeelinginresponsetothedistressofothers(personaldistress:[(8.78±5.07)vs(6.51±3.69)],P0.01).(2)Theassessmentofexecutivefunction:Betweenschizophrenicpatientsandhealthycontrols,thedifferenceofeveryfactorscoresinWCSThaveasignificanteffect(p0.001);thedifferenceofthecorrectnumberandtheaveragereactiontimeinStrooptaskhaveasignificanteffect(p0.001).Thecorrectnumberof0-back,1-back,2-backinn-backtaskhavesignificantdifferences(p0.001).(3)PearsoncorrelationanalysisshowedthatthetotalscoresofIRI-Cwasnegativelycorrelatedwiththeresponseadministered(Ra),thenumberofresponseserrors(Re)andnon-perseverativeErrors(nRpe)inWCST[(r=-0.293),(r=-0.253),(r=-0.272),P0.05]respectively,theempathicconcernofIRI-Cwasnegativelycorrelatedwiththeresponseadministered(Ra),thenumberofresponseserrors(Re),perseverativeresponses(Rp)andperseverativeerrors(Rpe)inWCST[(r=-0.326),(r=-0.300),(r=-0.294),(r=-0.287),P0.05-0.01]respectively,butwaspositivecorrelationwithRfp.ofWCST[(r=0.279),P0.05];FantasyofIRI-CwasbothcorrelatedwithBpart(r=-0.299,P0.01)andCpart(r=-0.322,P0.01)oftheStrooptask;butnosignificantcorrelationexistsbetweenscoresofIRI-Candscoresofn-backtask.Instudytwo,wefoundthatThesplithalfofreliabilitywas0.734;theCronbachα-coefficientofIRI-Candthefourfactorswere0.750,0.721,0.624,0.532,0.758respectively,Thetest-retestreliabilitywere0.737,0.700,0.735,0.625,0.655.IRI-Chadfourfactorswhichwereextractedbyfactoranalysis,andaccumulatedvariancewas46.34%.Allofthemhadsignificantdifferentiationvalidity
