AbstractAsanactiveresearchtask,H∞controlandrobustfilteringdesignforuncertaindiscretelinearsystemplayanimportantroleincontrolfields.Duetotheimportance,ithasdrawnlargenumbersofresearchs’attentiontostudytheproblemsbyproposingdifferentmethods,andlotsofvalubleresultsareobtained.BydevelopingnewLyapunovfunctionandcontrollerthatareconstructedbyakindofmatrixfunction,andusingmethodoflinearmatrixinquality(LMIforabbreviation),theconditionsofH∞controlandrobustfilteringdesignaresolvedbyapplyingmethodsofintroducingvariablesanditerationalgorithm,whichcanfurtherreduceconservatism.ForstatefeedbackH∞control,thispapercanbeseenasanextensionofpreviousoneandtheaimistoacceleratetheconvergenceratebyusingnewLyapunovfunctionandcontroller.Todoso,theslackvariablesinthispaperareintroducedforthecurrenttimeparameterandnexttimeparameterrespectively,whichisdifferentfromothermethodswherethevariablesareonlyintroducedforthecurrenttimeparameter,andthusleadstolessconservativeresults.Intheend,twoexamplesaregiventodemonstratetheeffectivenessoftheproposedapproach.Forrobustfilteringdesign,designingmethodsarerespectivelygivenintermsofH∞filterfor1-DandH2filterfor2-D.Thefirstmethodisbasedontheideaofintroducinghomogeneouspolynomialparameter-dependentmatrixfunction,andvariablesintroducedandLyapunovfunctionarepolynomialparameter-dependent.Asthedegreeofmatrixfunctionincreasesmorevariablesaregeneratedleadingtolessconservativeresults.However,thedegreecannotgoinfinitelyandthereexistssupremum.Whenthedegreearrivesatthesupremum,theconservatismcannotbefurtherreduceandalsoincreasethecomplexityofthecalculation.Inordertofurtherreducetheconservatism,giveninitialconditions,thesecondmethodisthattheiterativealgorithmisconstructedtodesignfilter.Comparedwithpreviousworks,freematrixvariablesintroducedintheiterativealgorithmdonotneedtosatisfyspecificstructure,andthusbeabletoeffectivelyreduceconservatism.Finally,simulationresultsdemonstratetheeffectivenessoftheproposedalgorithm.Keywords:H∞Control,LinearMatrixInquality,RobustFiltering
