AbstractAsapartofChinesesocialismlegalsystem,people’smediationrooteditselfinthefive-thousand-yearculture.Ithasbeenanimportantandeffectivemethodtocopewithsocialconflicts.Ithasbeenaverypowerfultooltokeepsocietystableespeciallyinruralarea.Ithasbeenplayingacrucialroleinreality.Itislabeledtheoriental-experienceandthefirstperimeterforsocialstabilitybecauseofwhatwasmentioned.Howtomakesocialfunctionofpeople’smediationsystemmoreeffectiveisnowavaluableresearchprojectbecausepeopleknowbetteraboutthelimitationoftheprincipleofruledbylawandmultipleconflictsolutionsystem.AsIhavealwaysbeeninterestedinsocialproblemsandpeople’smediation,IpickedatypicaldevelopingcityinPearlriverdeltadistrictastheresearchobjectinhowthepeople’smediationinruralareaworks.Thisresearchisbasedonthefactthatthereformandopeningpolicykeepsgoingdeeperandeconomykeepsdeveloping.Thispaper’sresearchmethodisindifferentinvestigation.Threestepsareinvolvedinthispaper.Theyaretheoreticalsupportempiricalresearchandsystematicanalysis.FirstbasedontheempiricalresearchIhaddoneIclarifiedthemeaningofthispaperandintroducedthereviewfromhomeandabroadthatIcollected.ThenIdefinedtheresearchobjectandintroducedtheresearchmethod.SecondImadethebackgroundofwhyIchosethiscaseclearsummarizedthecharacteristicoftheconflictsinruralareainthetransformationofthesocial.ThenIanalyzedthesituationofthepeople’smediationsystem.ThirdIrevealedtheproblemsthatruralpeople’smediationsystemisfacingnowandanalyzedthereasons.LastbutnotleastIofferedsomesuggestionstoimprovethepeople’smediationsystemaccordingtothereasonsImentioned.Therearethreesuggestionswhicharecompletingthepeople’smediationcommitteeandtrainingthemediators,settingthemediationstandardsandperfectthepeople’smediationagreementbuildingthefinancialsafenetenhancingthesupervisionandenforcingthebondbetweenpeople’smediationsystemandlegalsystemandotheralternativedisputesolutionsystems.Theauthorhopesthatthesuggestionswhicharebasedontheproblemsandreasonscanbeeffectivewhenitcomestotheperfectionofpeople’smediationsy
