TheStudyofCTStatisticalReconstructionAlgorithmBasedonMaximumLikelihoodandPenalizedLikelihoodEstimatesAbstractWhentheprojectiondatahasseriousnoiseintheprocessofacquisitionsystemandisincomplete,analyticreconstructionalgorithmsgetimageswithartifact.Thestatisticalreconstructionalgorithmwithaaccuratelyphysicalmodelisn’tsensitivetonoiseandeasytoaddconstraintsetc.Therefore,thereconstructedimagequalityissuperiortoconventionalFBPmethods.FortheCTStatisticsreconstruction,thiscontentisasfollow:Themaximumlikelihoodestimateforthestatisticalreconstructionalgorithmsisstudiedandmainlyincludesexpectationmaximumalgorithm(ML-EM),separableparaboloidalsurrogate(ML-SPS)algorithmandthebothalgorithmswithorderedsubset(OS-ML-EMandOS-ML-SPS).Insimulationexperiments,itshowsthattheinitialconvergencerateofML-SPSisfasterthantheML-EM,however,thebothalgorithmsisslowerthanOS-ML-EMandOS-ML-SPSalgorithms.Atlast,OS-ML-SPSandOS-ML-EMalgorithmsareusedtoreconstructactualCTprojectiondataandgetbetterimage.Penalizedmaximumlikelihood(PL)reconstructionforthestatisticalalgorithmsisbasedonthepenalizedlikelihoodestimatesandaddsapenaltytermtosuppressnoise,whichmainlyincludesOSL-EMalgorithmandPL-SPSalgorithm.ItisfocusedonthepenaltyfunctionwhichisbasedonGibbsdistributionandanalyzestheneedofpotentialfunctionstomeettheconditions,theinfluenceonimagefortheselectionofpotentialfunctionsandtheadvantagesanddisadvantagesofthequadraticfunctionandtheHuberfunction.Atlast,simulationexperimentsgivetheerroranalysisofreconstructedimage.ThismethodwhichisanadaptivelyregulariedCTimagereconstructioncanadaptivelychooseregularizationparameterswithmakingfulluseoftheresultsofeveryiterationtoupdateregularizationparameters.Simulationresultsshowthatthismethodreducesthenoiseandimproveimagequality.ThemethodisusedtoreconstructtheactualCTprojectiondatatodemonstratethefeasibilityandpracticality.OS-OSL-EMalgorithmisappliedtothree-dimensionalcone-beamimagereconstructionandgetsthebetterimage.Keywords:maximumlikelihoodestimate,CTReconstruction,Penalize
