AbstractEnglishisoneoftheworld?smostwidelyusedlanguages.AsweknowthattheNewEnglishCurriculumCriteriahaschangedinLiaoningProvince.Thatistostimulateandcultivatethestudents?interestinEnglishlearning;tomakethestudentsbuildconfidence;toformgoodhabitsandlearningstrategies;todevelopabilityofself-studyabilityandcooperativelearningspirit.ThestudyaimstoinvestigatetheeffectofscaffoldinginstructionfororalEnglishteaching.Theresearchquestionsinthisstudyare:1)Whatisthelearners?attitudetowardsthescaffoldingteaching?2)CanscaffoldinginstructionhelpEnglishLearnersfosterinterestandenhanceconfidence?3)Whataretheeffectsofscaffoldingteachingonimprovingtheseniorlearners?abilityoforalEnglish?TheexperimenthappenedfromSeptembertoDecember.It?salongtimeforauthortofinishtheexperiment.Therewere78studentsforstudywhoarefromThirtyTwoMiddleSchoolShenyangcity.Pre-testisoccurredinthefirstweekoftheexperiment.Post-testisdesignedinthelastweekoftheexperiment.Bothtestsmainlytestedstudents?pronunciation,fluency,interactionandfreeexpression.Andthequestionnaireandinterviewaredesignedtounderstandthestudents’interest,attitudetoscaffoldinginstructionandtheirperformanceafterschool.Whenfinishedcollectingdata,theauthoranalyzeditqualitatively.Andlastlyauthoranalyzedalldataquantitativelyandqualitatively.Theresultsanddiscussioninchapter4showstheimprovementofthestudents?oralEnglishability.Students?interestandconfidenceinEnglishlearningoftheEGismuchbetterthatoftheCGcanalsobereflected.Meanwhile,wecanfindthatafterapplyingscaffoldinginstruction,studentsdevelopedself-studyabilityandcooperativeconsciousness.Therelationshipbetweentheteachersandthestudentsisgreatlyimprovedaswell.Keywords:scaffoldinginstruction;constructivism;zoneofproximaldevelopment;OralEnglishteaching?摘要根据辽宁省教育改革的要求,2016年中考将增加英语口语测试。口语是英语的一项基本技能,人们对它越来越重视。本研究尝试把支架教学模式应用于初中口语教学当中,主要看是否能提高初中学生的口语能力,培养学习英语的兴趣,增强学学习英语的信心。主要研究以下三个问题:1)对于支架教学,学生的态度是什么?2)支架教学是否有助于培养学生的兴趣,增强他们的信心?3)支架教学对于提高初中学生口语能力的影响?作者在沈阳市二十六中学开展了一项教学实验,共有78名学生参与,分别来自于两个平行班,各班39人,两个班分别定为控制班和实验班,控制班采
