From Anthropologic Perspective Culture is the civilizations and achievements of a particular time or people. This is an anthropologists definition. From Intellectual Perspective According to the Concise Oxford Dictionary, culture is the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively. It refers to intellectual perspective, such as music, art, exhibition, dance, etc. When you talk about Picasso, Beethoven, etc., you are talking about culture. From Psychological Perspective Culture is an observable pattern of behavior which distinguishes the members of one category of people from another. So what is culture? At all times and in all over the world, there are many cultural definitions. Today ,we will show you some main definitions about culture. The definitions are from the following aspects: Chinese views International views 早在《周易》中就有所记载：“观乎天文，以察时变；观乎人文，以化成天下。”而这种规定性从汉时的“凡武之兴，为不服也；文化不改，然后加诛。”和唐时的“圣人观察人文，则诗书礼乐之谓”起，一直影响到明清。因此，顾炎武在《日知录》中说：“自身而至于家国天下，制之为度数，发之为音容，莫非文也。”即人自身的行为表现和国家的各种制度，都属于“文化”的范畴。 中国文化名人梁启超（1873-1929）说：“文化者，人类心能所开释出来有价值的共业也。” 胡适（1891-1962）对“文化”的解释是：民族的生活样式。 梁漱溟（1893-1988）先生的解释是：人的生活样法。 台湾作家龙应台女士在《文化是什么》一文中写道：“文化？它是随便一个人迎面走来，他的举手投足，他的一颦一笑，他的整体气质。” 1999年版《辞海》对“文化“的解释是：　　广义指人类在社会实践过程中所获得的物质、精神的生产能力和创造的物质、精神财富的总和。狭义指精神生产能力和精神产品，包括一切社会意识形式：自然科学、技术科学、社会意识形态。有时又专指教育、科学、文学、艺术、卫生、体育等方面的知识与设施。作为一种历史现象，文化的发展有历史的继承性：在阶级社会中，又具有阶级性，同时也具有民族性、地域性。不同民族、不同地域的文化又形成了人类文化的多样性。作为社会意识形态的文化，是一定社会的政治和经济的反映，同时又给予一定社会的政治和经济以巨大的影响。 《现代汉语词典》把文化定义为：“人类在社会历史发展过程中所创造的物质财富和精神财富的总和，特指精神财富，如文学、艺术、教育、科学等。” 人教版高中政治课本《文化生活》中将文化定义为：
