Section 6: Option 2 Phase 2 Implementation (Financials) 6.1 Summary This is a proposal for Option 2 Phase 2 implementation. The purpose of this implementation is to replace Hongkong Telecom’s DB Financials System with Oracle Financials. This document describes the scope of the implementation, Oracle applications modules to be implemented, custom extensions and interfaces identified for this implementation and training requirement. Besides, it also describes the project schedule, project organization and Hongkong Telecom’s participation for the implementation. The difference between Option 1 Phase 2 and Option 2 Phase 2 is the scope of implementation which is described as follow : Option 2 Phase 2 will implement all Option 1 Phase 1 proposed Oracle Financials modules (GL, FA, PC), plus Oracle Project Billing. Option 2 Phase 2 will implement all financials business requirements of Option 1 Phase 2, plus those FMO financials business requirements that are in italic form (please see Appendix C.1 Statement of Compliance for Hongkong Telecom Business Requirements for Financials). Option 2 Phase 2 will build and implement custom extensions that have been identified for Option 1 Phase 2, plus those extensions that have been identified for the additional FMO requirements that are in italic form (please see Appendix C.1 Statement of Compliance for Hongkong Telecom Business Requirements for Financials). Option 2 Phase 2 will build and implement the same interfaces as identified for Option 1 Phase 2. 6.2 Scope In Option 2 Phase 2 of the project, Oracle will implement the full functionality and power of the Oracle Financials products namely Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Assets, Oracle Project Costing and Oracle Project Billing to complement the Phase 1 Logistics modules.
