ABSTRACTRecently,externalwallinsulationhasformedexteriorwallexternalinsulationandexteriorwallinternalinsulation.However,withthedevelopingofbuildingenergyefficiency,theexteriorwallinternalinsulationcan’tcatchuptherequirementsofenergyefficiencyandhasbeeneliminated.Exteriorwallexternalinsulationhassomepopularformations,andexternalthermalinsulationcompositesystemsbasedonexpandedpolystyrenehasgoodenergysavingresults,hasbeencurrentlywidelyusedasanenergy-efficientbuildingexternalwallinsulationsystem.Themainsupportingmaterialsofexternalthermalinsulationcompositesystemsbasedonexpandedpolystyrenearebasecoatandadhesiveagent.Usually,wepickmediumsandtopreparebasecoat,butChongqinghasrichinultrafinesand,whichmodulusislessthan1.0,andmorethan95%ofprojectinChongqingusethiskindofultrafinesand.Thedisadvantagesofultra-fine-sandlimitit’spromotingareeasytoshrink,easytocrack,lowerbondingstrength.So,untilnowsomanyresearchershavestudiedhowtoimprovethepropertyofmortarmadebyultra-fine-sand,andmadeasignificantcontributiontoit.Buttherearestillmanyproblemsremainedtoworkout.Inthispaper,throughstudyingtheeffectonperformanceofmortarwithdifferentmaterialcontent,weensurethebestcontentofeverymaterial,andthenpreparethebasecoatandadhesivemortarandexternalthermalinsulationcompositesystemsbasedonexpandedpolystyrene,andappliedtoengineering.Inthispaper,theredispersiblepowderandfiberwereaddedintothemortartoimprovetheflexibilityofmortar,joinfiberandmineraladmixturetoimproveresistingcrackingofmortar,joincelluloseethertoimprovetheadhesivepropertyandworkabilityofmortar.Andwechoosetheratioofcompressivestrengthtoflexuralstrength,fractureenergy,impactenergytorepresenttheflexibilityofmortar.Wechooseairshrinkandfractureindextorepresenttheanti-crackproperty.Theresultsindicate:Thegradingstrengthofcementandcement-sandratiohaveasignificantimpactonflexibilityandshrinkageofmortar,andwefindthatthecomprehensiveperformancesofP.O32.5,cement-sandratioas1:2.6areoptimal.Wechoosefourkindsofredispersiblepolymerwhicharewidelyusedinul
