ABSTRACTWiththedevelopmentofFBGsensingtechnique,thewidespreadapplicationandproductionofnoveltypesofFBGsensorandtheexpansionscaleofsensingnetworkhaveproposednewchallengestothedemandofFBGsensinginterrogation.Inthisthesis,thewavelengthconversiontechniquebasedonSingle-Side-Bandmodulatorisprofoundlyinvestigatedtheoreticallyandexperimentally.Furthermore,weutilizetheSingle-Side-BandModulatorasmaindevicetobuildarecirculatingfrequencyshiftersystemandgeneratethemulti-wavelengthopticalsource.Atlast,anovelFBGinterrogationmethodiscreatedandexperimentallyprovedbasedontherecirculatingfrequencyshifter.Thethesiscontainsthefollowingaspects:TheoreticalresearchaboutwavelengthconversionofSingle-Side-BandmodulatorWedotheoreticalanalysisoftheelectro-opticalcharacteristicofSingle-Side-Bandmodulator,andfindtheinfluentialelementsoftherestraintandgenerationofsinglesidebandopticalwavelength.BesidestheoperationtheoryofwavelengthconversiontechniquebasedonSingle-Side-Bandmodulatorandfactorsofnoiseareinvestigated.OnthefoundationofSingle-Side-Band-modulatorbasedwavelengthconversiontheory,weanalyzethepossibilityandstabilityofgenerationofmulti-wavelengthopticalsourcefromrecirculatingfrequencyshiftersystem,andsearchforthewaytorestrainthenoise.ThefeasibilityofFBGsensinginterrogationmethodbasedonthetechniqueofmulti-wavelengthopticalsourcegenerationfromrecirculatingfrequencyshiftersystemistheoreticallyanalyzed.ExperimentalresearchofanovelmethodofFBGinterrogationThenarrow-bandwidthcontinuouswavelengthconversionusingtheSingle-Side-Bandmodulatorisexperimentalresearched.TheimpactsofRFsignalfrequency,DCvoltageontheeffectsofwavelengthconversionareconcreteanalyzed.Themulti-wavelengthopticalsource’swavelengthconversionusingtheSingle-Side-Bandmodulatorisexperimentalresearchedaswell.Andsomedeterminantsofthestabilityandeffectsofthewavelengthconversionareinvestigated.Webuildarecirculatingfrequencyshiftersystemandrealizethegenerationofmulti-wavelengthopticalsourcewith10GHzfrequencyintervalandtotallyabout30channelssta
