This paper describes the concept of family business, development status and the presence of rationality. Also the type of analysis of the obstacles to sustainable development of family businesses, excessive concentration of ownership, family business and cultural factors drawbacks, management malpractice, financing, ownership transfer issues and other factors, proposed for the existing barriers to achieving sustainable development of family business strategies,
