华中科技大学硕士学位论文 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II ABSTRACT Bai Hu Tong Yi is the product of the white tiger temple conference in ZHANG Emperor, HAN dynasty. This book is a general outlook involving politics, military affairs, human nature, culture and other aspects. I think this book reflects profound thought of harmony of human and heave n which is the main essence. This paper is based on the theory of Tian-ren. First, the three meanings of heave n have been presented— divinity, naturalness and moral. These three aspects are inseparable — the divinity also have moral, the divinity dominates naturalness. Then, the paper elaborates the relationship of heave n and human in details from the perspective of yin- yang and five elements and telepathy between human and heave n. Because of the ebb and flow of yin- yang and promotion and restraint of five elements, the will of heave n is reflected in the human society. There is telepathy between heave n and monarch. Heave judges and cautions monarch for his rule through appearing auspicious or calamity. At last, “Tiandao” is reflected to “Rendao” which is human order and moral values. The ceremony of Eastern Han, such as weddings and funerals, and Code of Ethics like San gang liu ji ,are the main content of “rendao”. “Rendao” is based on “Tiandao” and closely related to “Tiandao”.
