I I 摘 要 摘 要 本翻译实践报告以笔者翻译的《盖洛德·佩里传》为实践基础，是对此次翻译任务 的过程和完成情况所做的介绍、分析和总结。本次任务的翻译形式为英译汉。报告主要 由任务描述、过程描述、译前准备、案例分析、实践总结五个部分构成。任务描述和任 务过程部分对翻译文本的文本性质和主要内容做了简要的介绍，并对翻译的准备、进行 和校审阶段进行了概括说明。译前准备部分则分析了翻译对象同类文本的一般性的文体 特征和语言风格，并针对本报告的分析对象《盖洛德·佩里传》，对其语言特点进行了 具体分析。案例分析部分则为本翻译实践报告的核心部分。核心部分首先结合文本中的 具体案例，对翻译过程中所采取的意译法、转换法、增译法、正反、反正译法、拆译法 等翻译方法和技巧进行了初步分析和探讨。其次，对翻译过程中出现的错误予以分析。 在报告的最后部分，笔者对此次的翻译实践过程进行了简要总结，并浅谈了笔者对传记 类文本翻译的一些收获和感想，即充分了解传主的个性、经历及其所生活的时代背景等 情况，是准确传达原文意义的最重要的前提。 关键词 任务描述 案例分析 翻译技巧 传记翻译 II II Abstract Abstract This translation practice report is based on my translation from English into Chinese of FROM TOBACCO PATCH to PITCH’S MOUND: GAYLORD PERRY, the SPITTER, and FARM LIFE in EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA, including the introduction, analysis and summery about the procedure and completion of the task. This report consists of five major parts, task description, procedure description, preparation before translation, case analysis and summery conclusion. The parts of task description and procedure description give an brief introduction about the text quality and main content of this article and a short summery about the completion of the task. The part of preparation before translation offers an analysis about the general stylistic features and diction of biographical literature texts and the specific linguistic features of the original text. Case study part is the essence of this report. In this part, a preliminary exploration is made, in accordance with concrete cases in the article, on translation methods and skills, including conversion, addition, free translation and reversed translation. Then, aiming at the errors in the translation, I conducted an analysis about them. In the summery conclusion part, I summerized the process of translation, and talked about some of my feelings and gains about translation of biographical literature text that it’s the most prerequisite to fully understand the details about the hero or heroine, his/her personality, experiences and the time he/
