To this problem, many domestic academic publications organized some contests on a large scale. After years’ contestation, those concerned with news planning tend to reach a common understanding. The standpoints that agrees with it occupies the dominant position while the voice that opposes is gradually scare. Journalists holds to be in favor of it and the academic circles has no objection as well. At present as to the discussion on news planning, more and more scholars, more than limited its definition and significance, pay attention to combining theory with practice, and make meaningful research on the characteristics, procedure and problems worth attention in the operation with more open minds. As a professional news species in the public medium, particularly in the journalism, the sports news report has already applied journalism planning, which is an inevitable choice to adapt to the increasingly vigorous market competition. Facing the pressure from the internal competition of the sports news report in networks, television and journalism, both comprehensive and professional newspapers, during the period of various matches and important sports affairs, carry on in succession to plan with meticulous care, try hard to provide thorough, overall sports reports reflecting great news value.
