The Research On Zou Tao’s Work “Hai Shang Chen Tian Ying” Abstract “Hai Shang Chen Tian Ying” is the work on Zou Tao’s personal love experience. Meanwhile Zou Tao expressed his embrace and projected his ideal in the novel. The work treats the true love tragedy of Su Yunlan and Han Qiuhe as the main line, includes the gather and separation of all women in Qi Xiangyuan, and reveals their tragedy. By adopting the love mode of the Late Ming Dynasty and the culture of crack jokes into the work, Zou Tao can cherish the memory of traditional literati’s bypass elegant appearance and find console. The work presents the traditional morality and infused with the unique cultural features of Shanghai concession. The work is obviously imitative of A Dream in Red Mansions and Jing Hua Yuan, then rewrites. It builds massive artistic images, including many women who became courtesans and many romantic celebrities. In particular, the novel dentally depicts the images of the hero Han Qiuhe and heroine Su Yunlan. It adds the author’s life experience and the era of late qing dynasty into the novel, so it presents the idea of progress.
