Introduction: the importance of enlarging vocabulary   A good vocabulary can help you to rceive and send your thoughts more effectively and correctly. A person with a good vocabulary is not only impressive but is better able to communicate and understand complex thoughts as well. A good vocabulary and success are synonymous, it can be an economic advantage. An institution for testing people’s attitudes towards found that a good vocabulary is the only characteristic common to successful people. It has also found that the highest scores on vocabulary tests have been made by people getting the highest pay. This is because words are “tools of thoughts”. It is through words that people grasp the thoughts of others and do their own thinking. Because of the importance of a good vocabulary, colledge students are supposed to acquire a good vocabulary, and in order to get a good vocabulary, some strategies should be found to make it a little easier. One of it is knowing new vocabulary.   2. Knowing new vocabulary trend: One of the English Vocabulary Learning Strategies   Most of us know that the best way to improve our vocubalary is through reading, because nearly all of our active vocabulary acquasition is through the context in reading. We learn what a new word means from the words and sentences around it. But there are quite a few words which we have known their original meanings but their meanings may be changed when the context is changed, because English has never ceased to change change since the day it came into being.Therefore, knowing lexical changes is not necessary but can help us enlarge our vocabuary and understand the context as well. With the development of society, new words and new expressions enter the language with new things or new concepts.   2.1
