谢 谢! Understanding the basic structure of the skin will helps us understand how it functions and why it so important to maintain it properly. The skin is made up of two primary layers. * The Dermis and * the epidermis. The epidermis itself can be broken down into several layers. Let’s take a closer look at the area I have highlighted here. * The Epidermis consists of 4 main layers which begin right above the *Dermis …..which is this area over here (laser pointer) . Right above that is * .the basal layer, it is from this layer in which skin growth starts The basil cells grow or differentiate into a layer called the …* .. Stratum Spinosum or spiny layer as their life cycle continues * they change into a layer called the Stratum granulosum or granular layer. And finally these cell die and form * The top layer called the Stratum Corneum. It is typically 15 to 25 cells thick, but can reach 100 layers or more on areas such as the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. The entire process of cell growth from basil layer to the stratum corneum usually take about a month. The stratum corneum is the outer most protective layer of the skin and serves as the first line of defense between the living skin, the body and the environment. It it this layer we seek to properly maintain and care for with our body products. The melanocytes are found in the basil layer at the interface of the dermis and epidermis. * Once a melanosome (the little structure) is fully formed within the melanocytes it is transferred to one of the surrounding epidermal cells. There it stays and slowly migrates with the epidermal cell into upper layers of the epidermis * and ultimately into the stratum corneum until it sloughed off. It is the melanosomes within the epidermal cells the makeup the characteristic skin color of Asian, Black and Caucasian skin.
