Therefore it has become a valuable topic for public servants to find a new model for community governance. With the governance theory, the thesis point out that the model of combining multiple subjects involved in community compound governance and autonomy of residents is an important way to solve the government failure in the urban community. And it is also an inevitable choice for Chinese urban community governance. Gumei community at Shanghai Minhang district is taken as an example in the thesis. The organization systems, operation mode of the Gumei community governance model and the effects are described. The development of the partys organization is taken as an important link with the network of community organization, which could form a wide network of community governance and guide all participants into the area of community governance. The model of multiple subjects involved in the community governance is to change the traditional way of the government from community management and control to the community governance by multiple subjects with the methods of consultation, cooperation, integration, interaction, supervision and innovation. III III There are still some shortages of the community governance model. First, the development of the community governance network is not balanced. Secondly, the relationship of multiple subjects is still needed to be straightened out. Thirdly, the consensus of the community governance has not been reached yet.
