ABSTRACT Recently, based upon the diversified methods of paying bills, there maintains a high level of creation in this area. Several bank POS systems have been widely adopted in all industries home and abroad. Stored-value-card consumption is thus emerged. Briefly speaking, card companies issue stored value cards, and card holders pre-store certain amount of currency and consume it through appointed commercials. Under this circumstance, Bank of Communications, Beijing Branch developed a set of POS system based upon existing software and hardware structure, intended to retain current share of market order received and to innovate POS products. In this system, stored-value-card companies are merely required to open its interface to the bank, rather than to invest additional labor or material. The Bank of Communications developed this stored-value-card POS system based on existing POS machines and their other functions of transaction modules. This article, accepting the theories and techniques available, demonstrates the whole system development process by system demand analysis, framework designing, modular designing, and system testing. It also divides the system into three practical modules: transaction system module, system management module, and card liquidation module. Moreover, the article introduces related technologies like MAC encryption algorithm, PIN encryption and deciphering algorithm, standards of bank data packet received and sent, embedded SQL, and so on. The issue brought about provides thinking and methods for researches on mobile POS, its deployment of hardware framework and related software development. In the meantime, it offers valuable practical experiences and basic supports for the researches of related products.
