汕头大学医学院 汕头大学医学院 2005 级临床医学（本硕连读）硕士研究生学位论文 IV IV The evaluation of the effect of Atorvastatin on Neovascularization in Carotid Atherosclerotic Plaques by Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasonography English Abstract Objective To compare the blood cholesterol、routine ultrasound and CEUS parameter before and after the routine lipid-lowering therapy.The evolving role of CEUS in diagnosis of the vulnerable plaque was evaluated,and the relations between plaque neovascularization and plaque stability. Methods The study population included 54 patients (90 plaques total) who conformed to inclusive criteria. Serum levels of each patient was measured, routine ultrasound examination and the CEUS were taken to each patient. Treatment of basic diseases in all patients were obtained before and after the atorvastatin treatment. Then atorvastatin(20mg/d) was given to all patients for at least 3 months. Those who had poor compliance of atorvastatin were excluded. These tests above were repeated in the same target plaque of the 25 patients who were enrolled. Then all the data of the examinations were analyzed and compared. Meanwhile, primary end point and adverse reaction were recorded． Results 1、LDL-C、TG、TC decreased obviously after atorvastatin therapy(P0.05). 2、There were no significant changes in the IMT thickness, the thickeness and area before and after treatment(P0.05). PAGE PAGE VI 3、RBV and RBF of all the plaques by CEUS diminished (P0.05) . Conclusions CEUS showed to be reliable and effective in testing the neovascularization in carotid atherosclerotic plaques. Oral atorvastatin was supposed to have important role in stabilizing unstable plaques.CEUS and Oral atorvastatin was quite safe.
