Abstract
Happiness is the ultimate goal that everyone pursues in his or her life. People think about what happiness is and how we can make happiness accessible. Well-being is a kind of emotional experiences that people are satisfied with their lives and enjoy them, while unhappiness is con- trary. To find out why something happened has great value to people’s development, for only when we have known the Causal relationship of the thing, can we describe, predict and control it. Thus, we can see that attribution is an important process. Therefore, the attribution analysis of happiness and unhappiness is beneficial for individuals to have a summary about the causes of happiness and unhappiness. Therefore, it’s of an essential proceeding to contribute things’ out- comes. Attribution analysis is helpful for individuals to conclude the causes that result in happi- ness and unhappiness, to obtain happiness and to avoid unhappiness. Based on Weiner’s Attribu- tion Theory and referred to the previous studies, the scale of the present study consists of two parts: well-being attribution scale and unhappiness attribution scale. Either of them is made up of eight subscales, including ISC (internal\stable\controllable), ISU (internal\stable\uncontrollable), IUC (internal\unstable\controllable), IUU (internal\unstable\uncontrollable), ESC (exteral\stable\ controllable), ESU(external\stable\uncontrollable), EUC(external\unstable\controllable), EUU (external\unstable\uncontrollable). According to data from open questionnaire, items are orga- nized and distributed into different subscales; the number of each subscale is different. After surveying and factor analyzing several times, the College Well-being Attribution Scale is taken shape at last, including two subscales, that is, well-being attribution scale and unhappiness at- tribution scale.
