Facing so much data, people no longer satisfied with the daily transaction processing, but concerned more about whether they can get useful information in making decisions from the decentralized, diverse and complex data environments. Data warehouse and data mining technology provides a good solution for the problem in this area. Data warehouse is a subject-oriented, integrated, and non-renewable data collection which is changed over time .It is used to support decision-making system for management, which can integrated the mass data stored in different forms within the fields for analysis. Data mining is from a lot of, not complete, there is noise, and vague, random data, extracting implicit in the work, that people do not know in advance, but is potentially useful information and knowledge in the process of, the field of data mining technology, data analysis, providing data analysis methods.This paper studied about the data warehouse and data mining techniques and put forward three-tier model structure to build domain oriented data warehouse and a method of domain oriented data mining By deeply researched on Apriori algorithm and its existing improved algorithm, four improvements have been brought up to compensate for the shortcomings of Apriori algorithm. In order to verify the effectiveness of the improved algorithm, a lot of experiment is also designed an completed based on the item-set resorting Apriori_Sort algorithm, which has proved that the improved algorithm has greatly reduced the number of candidate sets and the efficiency of the algorithm has been greatly improved.
