贵州大学工程硕士毕业论文 II Abstract Ultra-light fireproof material of xonotlite-calcium silicate has been used widely in many industry branches for its low thermal conductivity, wide applying temperature range, environment friendly and low density. Xonotlite is synthesized by hydrothermal processing with silica fume and quicklime as the raw materials (with CaO/SiO2=1:1), as a result, the ecosystem was destroyed badly by mining a large quantity of limestone which was used to produce the quicklime. Carbide slag is a kind of industrial waste produced by the calcium carbide hydrolyzing, and millions tons of carbide slag were accumulating in many chemical industries per year to pollute the soil and environment. Then this paper primarily discussed that the carbide slag was used to prepare the environmental and high temperature resistant fireproof material made of calcium silicate by replacing quicklime as the calcareous materials. As a result, the cost of production for the environmental and high temperature resistant fireproof material made of calcium silicate would be reduced tremendously on account of carbide slag which is a kind of industrial waste, simultaneity, an effective method of dealing with carbide slag was found. And there will be improved both in environment and economy for that the ecosystem was protected effectively by mining little quantity of limestone and there was little contamination in industry. The effects of calcium-silicate ratio, water-solid ratio, holding time, and reaction temperature on the active slurry were researched by using the technics of dynamic hydrothermal synthesis with the method of XRD and SEM. The results indicated that the fireproof material of xonotlite-calcium silicate prepared with molar ratio of CaO/SiO2 to 1:1 had low bulk density, small linear shrinkage, low humidity ratio, and long fire-resistant time.
