Abstract
In recent years, the worlds major automobile manufacturers have paid a great deal of attention to car body’s weight reduction and fuel consuming reduction. The proportion of high strength steel in the car body is getting higher and higher in order to cut down fuel consuming and increase collision safety and driving stability by reducing the weight of automotive body. There are great differences between high strength steel and low carbon steel. With the improving of high strength steel’s yield strength, the residual stress increases, which will cause serious aberration and springback. It leads to decline in the high strength steel’s formability.
The paper made the high strength steel rail as the research object, whose thickness is 1.6 mm and tensile strength is 590 MPa. By referring many domestic and foreign technical literatures, the paper got three parameters’ reasonable values through simulating and analyzing numisheet 2005, which have an impact on the high-strength steel simulation accuracy in the Dynaform, then created the rail’s FEM model and analyzed the reason of cracking and wrinkling during drawing process. On this basis, the paper proposed more reasonable parameters’ value and verified these values’ rationality through stamping, and according to the structural characteristics of rail, selected four sections as compensation object. By calculating forming and springback, the paper obtained each section’s reasonable compensated surface, and connected these surfaces smoothly in UG. After calculation, it proved that the rail’s compensated surface can significantly reduce springback. Lastly, under the reasons that caused defects, the paper improved the rail’s forming result by changing the rail’s local structure and addendum.
