Its application in transport, tourism, environment and many other areas is having a big impact in peoples daily life. This paper is based on Design and Implementation of geographic information system of Huangpu district based on ArcGIS attended by the author. It has a deep research on geographic information system of Huangpu district. ArcGIS is a platform to build enterprise GIS applications, it provides frameworks to crate and config GIS applications, and spatial data management, spatial visualization and spatial analysis capabilities. From perspective of ArcGIS, all of the data with the concept of service to describe them. In this paper, the following points were studied under ArcGIS platform: For looking around function, optimized geospatial distance calculation.
