华 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract As Android is successfully applied on the smart phone, people gradually feel the superiority of Android, and more and more non-mobile platforms are beginning to use the Android system. Android system has not only open source, free, customizable features, massive Android applications also let it become one of the most popular operating system. With the release of the Google TV based on Android, it announced Android officially entered the field of traditional TV. Nowadays, there are more and more Android set-top boxes of different brands appearing on the market, Android has become the standard operating system of the intelligent and network set-top boxes. The main task is designed and implemented an Android file manager based on Android SDK 2.2 for the users of set-top boxes. Its main features include basic file system browser, file operations management as well as folder encryption authentication and local area network to share files browsing added for users of set-top boxes. First of all, it introduced the need for the development of the research background and Android set-top box platform file manager. Then, taking into account the needs of the users, it made a detailed development needs analysis for Android file manager .After that, it analyzed the structure of the application and made an overall design based on the need of file manager. At last, it achieved all of the file manager function modules , including the local file system browsing, file operations management, the folder encrypted authentication and local area network to share files search and browse. The UI provided to the users is simple, fast response; the system basic realization of the full functionality of the original design demand, and have been added to the new version of the development system; after several test the software is able to meet the actual needs.
