The flow field in die was extremely complicated and the effect to the quality of foam sheet was confused,SO there was not an accurate theory guiding extrusion die design.Different die geometries were analyzed and compared in this paper to value their ability to make foam product.Deduced pressure drop equation,pressure drop rate equation and residence time equation and calculated the pressure distribution in convergent,straight and divergent die by VB software.Compared the pressure distribution in different dies,and obtained the result that dNergem die was more suitable for foam extrusion because of its bigger pressure drop rate and less residence time. Simulated the pressure and shear distribution in divergem die by POLYFLOW.The result showed that 600Was the best divergent angle and decreasing die gap and convergent angle Was good for increasing die pressure. The influence of die gap to the pmssure distribution in die Was remarkable.
