AbstractIn Abstract In the genus Oryza，more than half of species are polyploids．These polyploids consist of the BC，CD，I-IJ and HK genome，and are distributed in Asia,Oceania, Africa and Latin America．Because each genome was shared by more than one species and some species have overlapping distribution and similar morphology,it is very difficult to identify them州tll certainty if only based on gross-morphological characters．Intraspecific variation in ploidy level adds greater complexity．In addition． the intercontinental disjunctive distribution ofsome species and lack ofknowledge on the diploid donors of the polyploids have made the situation more complicated． Meanwhile，molecular evolution of the different genomes within the sarfle nuclear after polyploidization is also worthy of further research．In this work,based on microsatellite markers(ssR)and sequence comparisons ofthe nuclear gene Adhl，the genetic diversity and evolutionary relationship of the allotetraploids and their diploid progenitors as well as the molecular evolutionary pattern of Adhl genes in allotetraploids were investigated．The main results are summarized as follows： Genetic diversity and evolutionary relationships of 72 accessions representing six species witll the B-，C·，and BC-genomes in the genus Oryza were．investigated by seven microsatellite markers．Of four diplold species,D．oj够cinalis maintained the highest diversity(P=-71．铴，He=O．565)，followed by o．eichingeri(P=57．1％， He=O．376)，D．punctata(P=57．1％，He=O．272)and D rhizomatis(P叫2．9％， He=O．222)．In comparison，a higher level of genetic diversity WaS revealed in the tetraploid U‘71．4％，He=O．461—0．637)．UPOMA dendrograms based on genetic distance revealed an obvious genetic differentiation between Asian and African races of 0．eichingeri．Three BBCC species clustered witll different accessions of the diploid D punctata。suggestive oftheir multiple origins．The results inferred from the dendrogram suggested that diploid species，0．officinalis and African 0．eichin
