Methods Seventeen patients with s uspected testic ular torsi on were exa mi ned by 2D ultrasound for first displ ayi ng t he morphol ogi cal changes and i nternal echoes of testis and epi di dy mus , t hen the bl ood perf usi on was observed by CDU . CEUS was perfor med on 11 patients wit h i ntravenous bol us i nj ecti on of Sono Vue . All of pati ents under went surgery wit h fi nal diagnosis by pat hol ogy . Results Sixteen pati ents wit h di sappeared or reduced bl ood fl o w i n t he testis di agnosed as torsi on of testis were i n accordance with operative and pat hologic results . One patient wit hout bl ood fl ow reduction i n testis was mi sdiagnosed as epi di dy mitis . The accuracy rate of CDU was 94 . 1% . CEUS i n 11 patients of them revealed non-filli ng of contrast i n the torsed testi s . The accuracy rate of CEUS was 100 % . Conclusion CDU and CEUS have hi gh sensitivity and specifi city i n di agnosi ng testicular torsi on . They are t he met hods of first choice to diagnose testi cular tor
